Called "Curiosity", this hand made wooden wall clock has a pyrography artwork of two very nosey male killer whales. These two orca came to investigate the strange rubber-clad, bubble-blowing creature that had mysteriously appeared in their world! Orca are frequently seen around the Orkney Isles, especially when the Atlantic grey seal pups go to sea for the first time. Orca are often seen by fishing and dive-boat crews in Scapa Flow, and often close enough to the shore to be seen from the coast. I have used simple pyrographed lines to mark the numerals on this hand made wood clock, which I turned from an oak log. It is a x 240mm diameter x 40mm thick, has black painted metal hands and a quiet ticking quartz movement, which uses a single AA battery (not supplied), and is ready to hang on your wall.
